Iran’s Central Bank says the prices of goods and services in Mordad of this year have risen by 84.4% compared with the same month last year (point-to-point inflation).
The report puts point-to-point inflation for goods at 121.5%.
In recent months, food items have seen the highest inflation growth. The Central Bank has declined to provide details on point-to-point or annual inflation for food items and has only reported that prices for food items in Mordad, compared with Tir of this year, have continued to rise and reached 2.6%.
The report of annual inflation—meaning the increase in the prices of goods and services over the 12 months leading up to Mordad compared with the same period last year—also put it at 65.1%.
