🔻The International Testing Agency for Doping (ITA) announced that Poursina Akhundtabar Mazandarani, known as Tina Akhundtabar, an Iranian cinema actress and boxer, has been sentenced to three years’ suspension from sports competitions after testing positive for doping and admitting to the violation.

🔹According to the agency’s official statement, the sample taken from Akhundtabar on December 6, 2024, during the “Night of Boxing Champions” competitions in Dubai contained the prohibited substance “clenbuterol.”

🔹Clenbuterol is listed in the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited substances list, and its use is forbidden inside and outside competitions.

🔹As announced by the International Testing Agency for Doping, Akhundtabar did not request a review of her second sample and, by admitting the violation, agreed to the proposed sanction. This early admission reduced the duration of her suspension by one year, from four years to three years.

🔹The athlete’s suspension begins on February 20, 2025 and will continue until February 19, 2028.

🔹All of her results in the Dubai competitions, including medals, points, and prizes, have also been annulled. Akhundtabar’s individual results from the time of sampling on December 6, 2024 have also been invalidated.
