Different cities in France on the evening of Saturday, 9 Aban, saw scenes of protests against rising cost of living and falling quality of public services. Compared with the unrest in the previous weeks, these gatherings were held with a smaller turnout and limited violence.
Students, members of labor unions, and a smaller number of yellow vest protesters took part in these rallies and protested fuel price hikes, rising inflation, and the policies of President Emmanuel Macron’s government. At the end of some rallies, clashes also occurred between protesters and police.
