🔺HRANA reports the imprisonment, arrest, and exile of 47 teachers in Iran

▪The human rights news organization of the Activists’ Group in Iran, HRANA, in a report announced that at least 47 working and retired teachers in Iran are currently being held in prison, under arrest, or serving an exile sentence.

▪According to this report, published on Monday, October 4 (Mehr 13), coinciding with World Teachers’ Day, 13 teachers are serving their prison sentences and 32 people are being held in custody.

▪HRANA noted that two teachers are also serving their exile.

▪These individuals have been identified in 19 provinces of the country, and Razavi Khorasan province, with eight cases, has the highest number of teachers who are imprisoned and/or in exile.
