Students began their campaign by blocking streets, which soon turned into protests almost every day, and ultimately developed into a nationwide movement against corruption and government negligence.

In less than two years, the students ended 14 years of Aleksandar Vučić’s political rule; a president whose support for his party, the Serbian Progressive Party, gradually declined, and who finally lost in an election that turned into a referendum on the future of Serbia.
