Hossein Aghaei, a member of the Iran International editorial board, with reference to the renewed start of the negotiations, believes that Tehran’s behavior pattern shows that the Trump administration is at risk of being deceived by the Islamic Republic, and that verbal threats, without practical action, will not achieve results on their own.

According to him, as long as threats do not turn into practical action and direct support is not provided to the people of Iran, the Islamic Republic will use the opportunity of negotiations and diplomacy to rebuild its military and security capabilities, and citizens pay the price for this situation with increased repression and executions.
