The health network under the administration of the Houthis said that seven people were killed and 40 others, including children, were injured in an attack on shops in a market in Taiz Province in the southwest of Yemen.
Reuters reported that hours later, Yemen’s legitimate government said its forces targeted a military camp and Houthi vehicles at the same location.
Three military sources in Yemen’s government told Reuters that the Houthis had recently set up a military camp near this market.
On Saturday, Yemen’s government forces had announced that they had advanced in Taiz Province and taken control of several areas and nearby heights.
Rashad Al-Alimi, head of the Leadership Council of Yemen’s presidential council, said that Yemeni forces had regained their superiority and deterrence capability.
