Hamas and Hezbollah, in separate statements, announced armed operations at the northern entrance to the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, saying it is a response to Israeli attacks in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

Hamas described the operation as a sign of the continuation of resistance and said the two people who carried it out were killed in an armed clash with Israeli forces.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah also welcomed the operation, writing: “This is the natural and legitimate response to Israel’s ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.”

Earlier, Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel intends to implement a pattern of military operations in the neighborhood from which the attackers came, within Palestinian refugee camps.

He emphasized: “We evacuate the residents, we move house to house, we collect weapons, and we destroy all terrorist infrastructure.”
