🔶 Global oil prices reach around $100 per barrel

After reports were published about the Houthis’ attack on two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, Brent crude oil in the North Sea rose to $98.80 per barrel on Thursday, July 23 (1 Mordad). West Texas Intermediate oil was also traded with a 3.8% increase at a price of $90.11 per barrel.

Both benchmarks have reached their highest levels since early June.

In a note, analysts at Deutsche Bank, as reported by the news network “CNN,” said that concerns about the expansion of fighting in the Middle East have strengthened “speculation” about the possibility of major central banks raising interest rates.

According to them, news related to the Houthis has created new concerns regarding global oil supply, especially since Saudi Arabia, after disruptions in the transit of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, has transferred its oil exports to the port of Yanbu in the Red Sea.
