🔺 Finnish and Norwegian leaders contact Putin to end the war in Ukraine

◾ The president of Finland and the prime minister of Norway, in an unprecedented move, placed a telephone call to Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, and called for an end to the war in Ukraine. The conversation took place on the eve of new negotiations with U.S. mediation, but Russia did not show any sign of readiness to back away from its previous positions.
