Farzin Nadimi, senior research fellow in defense and security affairs at the Washington Institute, said Israel has reached the conclusion after October 7 that it must contain threats at the seed stage before they grow and turn into a crisis.

He added that Israel is seeking to rebuild its security doctrine by creating buffer zones, strengthening the air force, increasing offensive and defensive capabilities, and keeping threats away from its borders. According to Nadimi, Israel is not looking to dominate the region, but is trying to preserve and enhance its military superiority.
