🔻In a report about the meeting to review the extension of Amir Qal’eh-noyi’s contract, the Farahakhtan newspaper wrote: “He thought that statements tainted with corrupted information would keep him until the 2030 World Cup, but only four months were given to him.”

🔹As the newspaper wrote, “At the beginning of the meeting to review Qal’eh-noyi’s contract extension, the national team coach makes remarks similar to some televised speeches and immediately leaves the meeting. In the meeting, though, there were also comments made against Qal’eh-noyi’s statements, which will probably be conveyed to him by Taj, since Amir left the meeting.”

🔹Amirmadhi Alavi, the spokesperson of the Football Federation, on Wednesday, said that Qal’eh-noyi’s contract had been extended until the 2027 AFC Asian Cup title match, in light of “the experiences he gained from being at the World Cup.”

🔹This is while Iran’s national team, in the 48-team World Cup, was unable to advance from its group and was eliminated in the group stage.
