Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said the Islamic Republic has lost most of its military capability and its senior leaders, adding that this situation has made it difficult to find a side to negotiate with.
Trump said: “They don’t have anything now. They don’t have a military force. Their navy, their air force, their radars and their air defense have been wiped out. Their leaders have also been wiped out.”
He added that the top leaders of the Islamic Republic have been wiped out, and after the appointment of second-tier officials, they too have been wiped out. According to Trump, half of the third-tier officials have also been wiped out.
Trump said officials of the Islamic Republic have asked him to promise not to target more people, and he has given such a promise.
The U.S. president added: “Nobody wants to become the president of Iran.” He said: “I probably overdid it a bit. I’m sorry, because now I don’t know who we’re dealing with.”
