Chris Wright, U.S. Energy Secretary, in a post on X, referring to the fact that the U.S. Army has helped with the transfer of more than 15 million barrels of oil and petroleum products from the Strait of Hormuz, said that when transfers through pipelines are included, the total of oil and products removed from the region reaches about 20 million barrels.

He, noting that the seven-day average of oil exiting the Strait of Hormuz is more than eight million barrels per day, emphasized: “Have no doubt, thanks to the U.S. Navy, oil is passing through the Strait of Hormuz.”
