The British government has proposed an early release plan for some prisoners to address the prison capacity crisis; however, the possible release of two individuals convicted in the murder case of police officer "Andrew Harper" sparked a wave of protests. Now, the government has halted the implementation of this part of the plan and is reviewing it.
