🔺Netanyahu after meeting with Trump: a shared commitment to ensure the Islamic Republic does not become nuclear
◾ The Israeli prime minister called his meeting with the U.S. president one of their best meetings and said that those seeking to find a crack in the alliance between the two countries were met with a “granite wall.”
◾ Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News that both sides share a commitment that the government of the Islamic Republic will not obtain nuclear weapons.
◾ He said this goal will be achieved “either through diplomacy or through other means.”
◾ In this regard, Karoline Leavitt, the White House spokesperson, described the meeting as “positive and constructive” and did not provide further details. The meeting was closed to the media and, contrary to usual practice, U.S. President Donald Trump even did not open even the first few minutes of it for reporters.
