🔻Bodies of 112 members of the two clans “Abu Shari‘a” and “Al-Husayna” were taken in a procession in Gaza. These people were killed in an airstrike on a residential complex in the neighborhood of “Al-Sabra” in the south-west of the city. They were killed during the second month of the war that began in the Gaza Strip in October 2023 and lasted nearly two years.

The funeral procession—one of the largest in the Gaza Strip—was held by the two Bedouin clans, and thousands attended.

The bodies pulled out of the site of the Israeli bombing include 44 children under 16, 37 women, and more than 10 people with disabilities; an event that Palestinians call the “Al-Sabra neighborhood massacre” and say left a total of 308 dead.

These bodies had been under the rubble from the time of the air attack on November 22, 2023—one day before the start of the first ceasefire in the Gaza Strip—until the start of the recovery operation, which lasted from July 14 to August 1, 2026.

Palestinians accuse the Israeli army of preventing the access of rescue and relief teams to the site after the bombing in order to remove the bodies.
