👈Bloomberg reports that six Saudi oil tankers, after the Houthis’ threat to ships bound for ports in the Red Sea, have changed their route from the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Two very large tankers are heading to Gibraltar, and four other tankers are going toward ports in southern Africa; a longer and more costly route, which shows that insecurity in the Red Sea has now directly disrupted Saudi Arabia’s oil export route.

One threat adds thousands of kilometers to the route
