🔻Assembly of Experts: A plot in the name of defending peace is betrayal
The presiding board of the Assembly of Experts, in a statement, warned about “any naivety in this sensitive period.”
The statement said: “In recent events and the actions of the invading regime and repeated violations of the agreement, it became clear that the signature of the U.S. president is not credible, and that trusting this arrogant state is nothing but a mirage; hopes for understanding and reaching an agreement with this bullying regime lead nowhere.”
In the statement, while warning against “any naivety,” it added: “Any talk of surrender on the part of the instigators and conspirators, in the name of defending peace, is an unforgivable betrayal, and legal confrontation with such actions is the unequivocal duty of the relevant officials.”
The statement emphasized that “any action must be within the framework of the views, guidance, and measures” of Mojtaba Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic.
In early Tir, the presiding board of the Assembly of Experts, in a statement, referred to Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu as “mubadhdar al-dam” and asked Iran’s negotiators to remain committed to the “red lines of the leader of the Islamic Republic.”
The day after, the Secretariat of the Assembly of Experts, in a statement, described the statement by the presiding board as “unusual and inappropriate,” and said that its contents require further review and discussion.
