Arif Yaqubi, a journalist for Iran International, spoke with supporters in Raleigh, the capital of the state of North Carolina, with supporters of Cooper, the winning Democratic Party candidate in the U.S. Senate elections.

One of the supporters, who has worked with Cooper for years, described him as “honest and hardworking,” and expressed hope that the Democrats will be able to win a majority in Congress.

He also said that the cost of living and access to affordable healthcare services are among the biggest concerns for voters in North Carolina.
