Ardavan Roozbeh, a member of the Iran International editorial board, said, referring to the oil agreement between the United States and Venezuela, that the importance of this agreement for Iran is greater than the volume of oil in question; it is the effect it could have on the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and on Washington’s bargaining power against the Islamic Republic.

He added that this agreement could give America more room to negotiate with the Islamic Republic, reduce the concessions demanded by Tehran, and strengthen Washington’s position in negotiations or in the continuation of the war.
