An Israeli tourism company said it canceled its flight to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean after the authorities of this country refused to grant landing permission.

The Israeli company Spirit World Productions said it has received information showing that “political and diplomatic calculations” were behind this decision. The flight was scheduled to take place this morning with an Air Seychelles aircraft from Ben Gurion Airport.

Tali Yatiov, the company’s CEO, said: “Until the very last moment, we did everything we could to have the flight operate as planned. We’ve been in contact with all relevant parties and with Air Seychelles to help passengers and get complete information.”
