Amir Hayatmogaddam, deputy chairman of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said in a meeting about the country’s economic and security situation that the Islamic Republic is seeking to increase the range of its missiles.

He added that he has asked the defense minister to take action to produce “intercontinental” missiles.

Hayatmogaddam said the Ministry of Defense and the IRGC are prepared, in the first stage, to produce missiles with a range of six thousand kilometers and then to increase the missiles’ range so that they reach the United States.
