Ahmad Begdeli, a lawmaker and member of the Social Commission of the Parliament, said that spreading a rumour about Masoud Pezeshkian’s resignation and its acceptance by Mojtaba Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic, aims to undermine the political stability of the country and is “playing into the enemy’s hands.”

Ahmad Begdeli, in an interview with the state news agency IRNA, said that publishing baseless claims about Pezeshkian’s resignation creates an atmosphere of tension and ambiguity and gives the enemies of the Islamic Republic an opportunity to suggest that there is a lack of cohesion at the highest levels of the government.

Citing the denial of this rumour by Mojtaba Khamenei’s office, this member of parliament said that those who spread these rumours must first apologize to the Leader of the Islamic Republic and then to the people.
