Abdolhossein Ruholamini, a member of Tehran in parliament, said: “If the Strait of Hormuz is open and the American claims are true, then why is the price of oil steadily increasing?” He added: “The Strait of Hormuz was open before America imposed this situation on the world, and more than 20 million barrels of oil were passing through it every day. Now too, if a shipment passes through the Strait, it does so under special conditions and with the approval of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
