Kayhan newspaper, which is published under the supervision of the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, referred to student protests in France and wrote: “The difference in the conduct of the police of the Islamic Republic from the police of the West is the difference between two worldviews. In the West, the police are a violent instrument of the bourgeois state for suppressing the oppressed; in Iran, the police stand alongside the people and their self-sacrificing individuals.”

Kayhan added: “During professional gatherings and labor and retirees’ protests, the police of Iran have always made use of a model of management based on tolerance and dialogue. The police model in the Islamic Republic is shaped on the basis of monotheism, ethics, and reliance on the people.”

The newspaper further wrote: “U.S. and European police enter university campuses with military equipment; they bring elderly professors to their knees on the asphalt in front of cameras, beat female students, set fire to peace tents, and send thousands of students to detention centers by filing heavy security cases.”
