🔻A cargo ship sinks after being hit by a projectile near Yemen’s waters

India’s Minister of Shipping says that a projectile hitting an Indian vessel caused it to capsize and sink near waters off Yemen.

He said: “All 14 crew members of the vessel were safely rescued by the Yemeni coast guard.”

In a statement, India’s Ministry of External Affairs condemned the attack “strongly.”

The ministry said in a statement: “We condemn the attack on the Indian-flagged commercial vessel M.V. Fayez Noor Ulia, which sank in the Red Sea on August 4, 2026, near the coasts of Yemen. All 13 Indian nationals were rescued.”
