🔻An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 struck Kyushu island in Japan on Tuesday.

So far, the earthquake has left two people dead, and it has been reported that a number of people trapped under the rubble of a shopping center. One eyewitness said that the second floor of the building collapsed. Japan’s public broadcaster, NHK, reported that the deaths of two women in this shopping center have been confirmed.

Earlier, a Japanese official had told the BBC that several people were missing at the shopping center and also at a factory, after a chimney collapsed.
