The Prime Minister and Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, who has traveled to China, discussed and exchanged views with the foreign minister of this country regarding the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in a meeting.
Based on a report by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in this meeting “Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani” and “Wang Yi” discussed regional developments, including the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
In this meeting, Qatar’s Prime Minister once again emphasized his country’s full support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and paving the way for reaching a comprehensive agreement.
Qatar is among the mediators that, together with Oman and Pakistan, are working to bring the Islamic Republic back to the negotiating table. Previously, the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic had announced the trip of a Qatari delegation to Tehran on Sunday, September 15 in the Iranian calendar, with the aim of helping reduce tensions.
