Morteza Kazemian, a member of the Iran International editorial board, said, referring to statements by Donald Trump, the President of the United States, and to a directive from Marco Rubio, the country’s foreign minister, for the Islamic Republic delegation to leave the United States, that the White House is dealing with the Islamic Republic from a position of superiority, and that the dilemma of pressuring the Islamic Republic into a deal or into military action is reflected even more clearly in Trump’s positions.

He added that the statements of officials of the Islamic Republic go beyond “chanting slogans,” indicating a “highly worrisome delusion” that turns out to be to the detriment of national interests.
