Abbas Araghchi, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, said in another part of his interview with Javad Moghimi, a government documentarian, that during his recent trip to Iraq, people welcomed him with cries of “Down (with you),” and added that the welcome was not for him personally, but for the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, and that Iraqis, by calling him “a hero,” were praising Iranians.

The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic added that he had expected IRIB to air images of the Iraqi people’s welcome for him and show how much the Islamic Republic is “respected” in Iraq, but none of the IRIB networks broadcast those images.
