Froogh Kanaanī, a sociology researcher, said that one of the most important axes of the message of Prince Reza Pahlavi is the narration of protests from 1395 (2016) to today as a continuous and chain-like path of the struggles of the Iranian people. He added that this message, with an emphasis on national solidarity, Iranian nationalism, and political responsibility toward those killed, stresses the continuation of the struggle and “reclaiming Iran.”
Kanaanī also said that the role of families of those seeking justice (demanding accountability) is decisive in keeping the memory of those killed alive and preventing the suppression of memories. He said that the steadfastness of these families has challenged the Islamic Republic’s narrative about the protests and has kept the path of seeking justice alive.
