Unlike Ukraine, Russia will hold an election, even amid the hostilities, as citizens have the right to elect a new executive system, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said.
“You and I must jointly understand one thing now — that our country is at war. And, unlike our adversary and even despite the hostilities, we will hold an election as we believe that the country and citizens in our country do have the right to renew the government administration, including members of the State Duma, or the highest law-making body," the leader of the ruling United Party leader argued.
