Alireza Mehrami, a sports video journalist, has posted on his Instagram page a video showing that the stadium is still under renovation and that a lot of work remains to be done in order to put the old Tehran stadium into operation.

🔹As the video shows, the tunnels and stands are in a state that makes them unusable, and it is not clear when they will become available.

🔹Earlier, it was planned that Azadi Stadium would be ready for the 1406–1405 season; however, despite the stadium stands and some facilities having reached the final stages of renovation, in an ambiguous move, the previous grass was completely removed so that new grass could be planted, and this has prolonged the preparation process.
