If Washington fulfills its previous commitments, the Strait of Hormuz can be reopened and new negotiation rounds can begin, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al-Iraqiya News.

He said Tehran's "seven-day initiative" aims to keep the diplomatic path open, but "it is Washington, not Tehran, that is obstructing this process."

He confirmed the strait will not fully reopen until an understanding with the US is reached.
