Tank-Tracker figures show that over the past week, more than 19 million barrels of Middle Eastern oil have been sent to global markets each day—at a level comparable to before the war.
This comes as Iran’s oil exports have been completely halted since July 14 due to the U.S. maritime blockade.
As a result, other Middle Eastern countries have not only restored their oil exports, but have increased the volume of their overseas oil sales to such an extent that they have also compensated for the stoppage of Iran’s oil exports.
Over the past week, 14,490,000 barrels of Middle Eastern oil were exported per day through the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, while the rest went to global markets via the Red Sea and land routes.
According to this report, the average daily exports of Middle Eastern oil over the past 28 days have been 17,830,000 barrels.
