🔶 Judicial prosecution of a man in Israel on suspicion of “spying for Iran” A 21-year-old man from Jerusalem (al-Quds) has been put under judicial investigation in late 2025 and early 2026 on suspicion of “carrying out spying activities for Iran.” According to The Times of Israel, based on an indictment from the Jerusalem prosecutor’s office, Eli Leven is accused of knowingly carrying out missions in return for hundreds of dollars, at the instruction of two individuals named Sina and Alexander whom the prosecution says were operating for Iranian intelligence services. The prosecution says that he photographed the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem and a building in the “Bokharim” neighborhood, and also hid a package of cigarettes containing a note with the message “Work done” at the “Hadar” shopping center. According to the indictment, the accused received about $861 in crypto currency for carrying out these missions from a person named Sina and about $518 from Alexander. Eli Leven is now facing charges of “contact with a foreign agent” and “providing information that could benefit an enemy.”
