The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Organization has announced that the ship targeted near the waters off the Masndam peninsula in the Sea of Oman caught fire, and the ship’s crew are evacuating.

Earlier, the maritime security organization had received a report of an attack in the Strait of Hormuz area in the early hours of Sunday, local time.

According to the report, the fire broke out on the ship’s deck, and local officials are helping evacuate the crew.

Following this incident, the governor of Qeshm also announced that an Iranian commercial vessel was targeted in the early hours of Sunday, 22 Shahrivar, in waters near Qeshm Island, and as a result one person was killed and three others were injured.
