🔶 Tens of thousands displaced in Yemen due to the war

According to the United Nations, in the past two months more than 76,000 people in Yemen have been displaced due to the war. The International Organization for Migration, which is affiliated with the UN, said that since the beginning of September this year (over the past two weeks alone) 70,000 people have been displaced in Yemen.

The international body warned that “the displacement crisis in Yemen is rapidly deteriorating and continuously taking on wider dimensions.”

In recent weeks, Yemen has seen an intensification of mutual attacks by Houthi forces, Yemen’s government forces, and also Saudi Arabia.

With their recent advances along the Red Sea coast, Houthi militias have further disrupted shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
