The spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that two Pakistani citizens who were working on an Iranian commercial ship were injured in an attack near Qeshm Island.

Ismail Baghai added that “the United States and Israel are still targeting security in the Persian Gulf.”

The attack took place early Sunday morning in the vicinity of Hormuz Island and the steep-slope coast of Qeshm. The governor of Qeshm said that one person was killed and four others were injured.

The attacker has not been identified. In response to a question about whether American forces were involved in the attack, Donald Trump, the U.S. president, did not give an answer.
