🔺Judiciary: 240 cases of assets of the accused of “cooperating with hostile governments” seized
▪Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic, reported that 240 cases of assets belonging to opponents of the Islamic Republic have been seized by judicial order.
▪Based on this report, 143 cases of the seized assets and properties are in Tehran, and some of them belong to journalists of two Persian-language networks outside the country, activists and media operators, and prominent figures residing abroad.
▪Mizan added that 182 bank accounts belonging to these individuals have been blocked, and more than 2,000 inquiries regarding the defendants’ accounts have been requested from the Central Bank, which are currently under follow-up.
▪The actions are being carried out based on the “Law on Intensifying the Punishments for the Crime of Espionage and Cooperation with Hostile Countries against the Security and National Interests.”
