🔻Iraqi armed forces have announced that Ali al-Zayedi, the country’s prime minister, has issued instructions to carry out investigations into the attack on the Saudi “East-West” pipeline.

The Iraqi army spokesman said, “The Iraqi state expresses its gratitude to the Kingdom of (Saudi Arabia) and its reaction to Iraq’s efforts to contain the situation.”

According to a report by Iraq’s state-run news agency, the army said the prime minister has ordered “urgent investigations into the details of these attacks and the parties behind them,” and asked that legal measures be taken “against anyone whose involvement in this matter is proven.”

Previously, attacks had also been carried out from Iraqi soil against facilities in Saudi Arabia, which were accompanied by retaliatory attacks by Saudi Arabia and the United States, and in one of these attacks several members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed.
