🗣Your Story: Living under Political Repression and Military Tensions — Monday 4 Aban
🔹The government has deposited 500,000 tomans of food coupons into some people’s accounts, but it’s not withdrawable. They’re really making people a joke.
🔹For several years now, we’ve been going to sleep at night with this stress that tomorrow this inhumane government, in cooperation with the parliament, will pass what law that pushes several meters of the poor into the mud and makes the rich and the ruling-system rent-seekers even richer. So far, no law has been passed in this country for the benefit of the poor segments.
🔹I’ve been unemployed for about a year, and I have three schoolgirl daughters. Prices keep going up day by day. How long is this situation going to continue? By God, we’re exhausted—we’re ashamed in front of our kids.
🔹From Tehran: Every meal costs a million tomans, and with rent and medical expenses, the real poverty line in Iran is 200 million tomans.
🔹Because of rationing and gasoline shortages, people are forced to go to gas stations several times a day, which causes overcrowding at the gas stations.
🔹From Isfahan: The presence of these people who are hostile to the people has been fading every night. Where in two nights of Dey the streets were full of people’s blood, tonight only a few elderly men and women were sitting with their chairs—there weren’t even 10. Even they themselves are tired of these stupid games.
🔹At 11 p.m. Shahin-Vila, Karaj: people who torment the public, with a car and loud noise, disturb people’s rest to say: “We’re here.”
