🗣Your account of life in a new round of clashes — Tuesday, 13 Mordad:

🔹I’m a gardener. Since Farvardin this year, the cost per ton—up to the moment it enters the “tarebar” market for supply—has been 90 million. In the market, if they buy it for 100 million, then we’re lucky. That means each kilo is 100,000 tomans. It’s expensive, and people have the right not to buy. But the farmer has also been destroyed by these prices of fertilizer and pesticides.

🔹It’s almost mid-Mordad, and the disability allowance for the month of Tir for health and hygiene supplies still hasn’t been deposited. Their force has been aimed at weak and vulnerable groups.

🔹I am a person with a severe disability who needs assistance. My father died 20 years ago, and I have no guardian. With half of the current month having passed, they still haven’t deposited the cost of disability-related hygiene supplies.

🔹Prices are soaring—everyone is grieving like we were in Dey. The electricity is cut, the water is cut, and right now the internet is extremely weak, and most free VPNs don’t work. This is our situation.

🔹Today I bought an egg tray for 600,000 tomans; of course, in Iran’s current currency that’s six million rials. While about 10 days ago I bought it for 500,000 tomans.

🔹I’m sending this from Faladshahr, and I’m a retiree of Esfahan Steel (Zob Ahan). Despite the outrageous rise in the prices of medicines, the insurance coverage has been cut off for several months, and no one is answering.

🔹I’m sending this from Qom. Because of rent and the heavy costs of living, and because I have three children and a disabled daughter, my life has fallen apart with a salary that was never enough. We’re so caught up in financial poverty that we’ve forgotten the dream of freedom and faith.
