What we know about the early results of the midterm Congressional election in the United States:
House and Senate seats
▪Following the November 3 midterms, the Democratic party will secure 55 seats in the Senate, while Republicans will have 45 seats, according to projections from The New York Times
▪ Democrats will win 254 House seats against the GOP’s at least 172, the NYT also projected
Trump’s reaction
▪ US President Donald Trump claimed that he would “veto everything” if Democrats win control of both houses
▪ The US leader argued that Democrats will be forced to come to the bargaining table after “a couple of months” and “gonna want to work” with the White House
▪ He also said he was not going to make any changes to his cabinet after the defeat of his Republican party in the midterms.
