👈War with Iran has nearly tripled the profits of U.S. oil companies
According to a report by The New York Times, more than 50 large oil and gas companies in the United States earned more than $130 billion in profits between April and September 2026; a figure that was less than $47 billion in the same period last year.
This rise in profits was recorded while the war with Iran has caused disruptions to the global energy supply and raised fuel prices.
According to the report, U.S. refineries have benefited from higher profit margins because refining facilities in the Middle East and Russia were damaged and fuel supply capacity was reduced.
