🔶 UAE reports attack on one of its ships in the Strait of Hormuz

State media in the United Arab Emirates, citing the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), reported that on the evening of Friday 23 Mordad (14 August), one of the company’s vessels in the Strait of Hormuz was targeted.

No one was injured in this incident.

Attacks attributed to the Islamic Republic on the oil tankers of the United Arab Emirates continued the day before as well.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said that two of the company’s vessels on Thursday evening, 22 Mordad, were also targeted while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, but no one was injured.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs held Tehran responsible for the incident and condemned the Islamic Republic’s “hostile attack.” The ministry accused the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of threatening the security of the region and the flow of global energy by targeting commercial ships and using the Strait of Hormuz to exert economic pressure.

The attacks on ships of the United Arab Emirates in the Strait of Hormuz have been condemned by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt.
