🔺U.S. energy minister: Oil leaving the Persian Gulf has reached 15 million barrels per day

▪ The U.S. energy minister said the seven-day average of oil exports from the Strait of Hormuz has reached nearly 9 million barrels per day. Chris Wright added that, taking into account another 5 to 7 million barrels that are shipped out of the region via upgraded pipelines and export facilities, total oil flows are about 15 million barrels per day.

▪ He wrote on the X network that this is the result of “coordinated efforts by the U.S. Army and Gulf allies,” and that alone on Sunday, more than 20 million barrels of oil were removed from the region—higher than the pre-war average.

▪ He added: “Many private businesses, due to the covert movement of vessels, underestimate the number of ships leaving the Strait of Hormuz.”
