〰❌〰 U.S. Central Command:

At 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 29, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully carried out a heavy wave of strikes against Iran in response to yesterday’s missile attacks on U.S. forces.

CENTCOM assets targeted dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) locations in Iran, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, surveillance and coastal defense sites, and maritime capabilities. The purpose of these strikes was to further reduce threats from Iran and its proxy forces against U.S. forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring countries of the Persian Gulf.

On July 28, IRGC forces, in a surprise attack, launched several ballistic missiles from Iran toward U.S. forces deployed in the Middle East. All of the Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted.

More than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are currently deployed in the Middle East and are highly alert, focused, lethal, and ready.
