Two Harpoon missiles launched from a submarine hit the decommissioned “USS Philo” during a military exercise in waters off Hawaii.

The 40,000-ton amphibious ship, which was used as a target in the exercise to sink vessels, was also targeted by attacks from Spanish and Japanese forces and by a kamikaze drone.

For the first time in this drill, such a drone was used in sinking a U.S. Navy vessel.
